安裝AJAX Extension 1.0時出現Please wait while the installer finishes..

在VirtualPC 2007 SP1的Windows Server 2008環境中安裝AJAX Extension 1.0時會出現莫名的怪訊息...“Please wait while the installer finishes determining your disk space requirements”

Google了一下才知道要在命令字元下使用用的是 msiexec /Option <必要的參數> [選擇性參數]

用的是 msiexec /Option <必要的參數> [選擇性參數]

msiexec /i c:\ASPAJAXExtSetup.msi

若用了這招還是無法解決，可參考 Jean-Paul Smit 的解決方法，摘要如下

• Edit the MSI with Orcas and remove the check
• Move the MSI to the root of your drive, your path might be too long
• Run the MSI from the console with msiexec /i <MyPackage.msi>
• Uninstall and install the Virtual Machine add-ons
